1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Sia Makerlab ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the Warranty Widget mobile application ("App" or "Service").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

Warranty Widget is an offline Android app for tracking the warranty period, exchange window, and after-sales (AS) deadline of purchased products. All data is stored on-device and shown as D-Day countdowns in the App and on home screen widgets.

The App provides the following features:

• Product records with warranty / exchange / AS deadlines and an optional memo, with unlimited record count (no Pro tier, no quota)
• D-Day countdown widgets via Jetpack Glance in three sizes: 1×1, 2×1, 2×2
• Reminder notifications scheduled with AlarmManager. The App uses exact alarms only when the system grants SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM; otherwise it falls back to inexact alarms (Google Play policy compliant — USE_EXACT_ALARM is not used)
• Automatic alarm rescheduling after device reboot via a boot receiver
• Receipt and product photo attachments stored locally in the app's private files/receipts/ folder; selected via the Android system Photo Picker (no CAMERA or READ_MEDIA_IMAGES permission)
• Local JSON backup and restore — user-initiated; data leaves the device only when you explicitly export
• Daily background maintenance via WorkManager (with FOREGROUND_SERVICE)
• Android Auto Backup is disabled for the database, photos, and settings
• Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent flow for EU / UK / Switzerland users; the Mobile Ads SDK is initialized only after consent is collected
• AdMob anchored adaptive banner ad and App Open ad (see §9)
• One-time, non-consumable in-app purchase to remove all ads (remove_ads_lifetime, Google Play Billing v8)

The App is provided for Android devices only. The App requests the permissions described in the Privacy Policy and uses them solely for the purposes documented there.

3. Eligibility and Use Requirements

3.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the European Economic Area) to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

4. User Account

The App does not require user registration or account creation. No personal account information is collected or stored by us.

5. License Grant and Restrictions

5.1 License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on a compatible device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

5.2 Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any portion thereof
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices on the App
• Use the App for any illegal, harmful, or unauthorized purpose
• Sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the App to third parties
• Use automated means to access or use the App without our express permission
• Tamper with, block, or otherwise interfere with the in-app advertisements described in §9, or use the App in a manner that violates Google's AdMob policies for ad-supported apps

6. Intellectual Property Rights

The App, including all content, features, functionality, design, and software, is owned by Sia Makerlab and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide regarding the App may be used by us without any obligation to you.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

7.1 General Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7.2 Reminders Are Not Guarantees

The reminder notifications and widgets are provided as a convenience and depend on the device's clock, alarm permissions (including whether the system grants exact-alarm scheduling), background work permissions, battery optimization settings, and the device being powered on. You are solely responsible for tracking the actual warranty, exchange, and AS deadlines of your products. Missed reminders, delayed notifications (especially when the system uses the inexact-alarm fallback), or incorrect dates do not create any liability for Sia Makerlab. Warranty Widget is not a substitute for keeping the original receipt or contacting the manufacturer.

7.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SIA MAKERLAB SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

8. In-App Purchases

The App offers one optional in-app purchase, Remove Ads (product ID remove_ads_lifetime, one-time non-consumable), processed entirely by Google Play Billing v8. The Settings screen exposes both a Purchase button and a "Restore purchases" button so that the entitlement can be restored after reinstall or on a new device. Once purchased, both the adaptive banner and App Open ad placements are hidden immediately and remain hidden across launches.

The source of truth for purchase state is Google Play Billing's local query (queryPurchasesAsync); the on-device DataStore cache exists only to make the UI snappy. Server-side receipt verification is not performed in the current release. All purchases are subject to Google Play's terms and refund policies; we are not responsible for any disputes arising from purchases processed by Google Play.

In-app purchases are non-transferable and tied to your Google account.

9. Advertising

The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob in two formats:

• Anchored adaptive banner ad in selected screens
• App Open ad shown when the App returns to the foreground, subject to a minimum 4-hour cooldown after the last display

For users in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, the App presents a Google-certified UMP consent message before any personalized ads are loaded; the Google Mobile Ads SDK is initialized only after canRequestAds() returns true. The Settings screen exposes a "Privacy options" entry whenever UMP indicates the form is available.

To respect the user's attention and avoid disruption, the App Open ad is never shown in any of the following five contexts:

1. While the user is in an active input flow (creating or editing a product)
2. Just after the App is launched from a notification
3. Just after the App returns from the Android Photo Picker
4. On the receipt zoom (full-screen image) screen
5. On any home screen widget

Both ad placements are hidden permanently once you purchase the Remove Ads in-app product (§8). Advertisements are subject to Google's terms and policies.

10. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or for any other reason.

You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms
• Displaying a notice within the App for material changes

Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

For users in the European Union, these Terms shall be interpreted in accordance with applicable EU law.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Republic of Korea.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sia Makerlab regarding your use of the App.
